Objectives: Alopecia areata incognita is a non-scarring autoimmune hair loss condition primarily affecting women aged 20 to 40. It is often misdiagnosed due to its resemblance to other conditions. Diagnosis relies on clinical suspicion, trichoscopic findings, and histological features.

Metabolic Syndrome in Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis in a Mixed Race Population: Comparison of Their Prevalences.

Background: There is a growing body of evidence suggesting the association between psoriasis (PsO) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA) separately with metabolic syndrome (MS) in different populations. The literature is relatively scarce in terms of comparing the prevalence of MS in PsO and PsA with controls without systemic inflammatory diseases.

Objective: We aimed to assess the prevalence of MS among patients with PsO, PsA, and a control group without systemic inflammatory disease, in addition to investigating the risks of MS occurrence and its different components in each group.

Fracture in Irradiated Rat Femur: A Description of an Experimental Model and Evaluation of its Effectiveness.

 We aim to describe an experimental model for studying femoral fractures in rats after exposure to ionizing radiation, demonstrating a way to apply a substance for analysis, the method for patterning fracture and irradiation, and how to evaluate its effectiveness based on radiographic studies.  We used 24 rats divided into 2 groups of 12 animals each. The STUDY group was exposed to ionizing radiation and treated with saline solution, and the CONTROL group was not exposed to radiation and was treated with saline solution.

However, to our knowledge, prospective studies assessing patient satisfaction and sonographic changes in dermal thickness after a single session of a hybrid filler combining hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite have not been previously published.

Efficacy and Safety of Scalp Microneedling in Male Pattern Hair Loss.

Introduction: There are few reports involving scalp microneedling in MPHL patients, and in most of them, physical stimulus is associated with other therapeutic agents. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and risks of isolated scalp microneedling in MPHL patients.

Methods: Thirty patients were included in this randomized single-blinded study and submitted to 4 monthly scalp microneedling sessions.

Objective: The article seeks to assess the Brazilian health system ability to respond to the challenges imposed by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic by measuring the capacity of Brazilian hospitals to care for COVID-19 cases in the 450 Health Regions of the country during the year 2020. Hospital capacity refers to the availability of hospital beds, equipment, and human resources.

Methods: We used longitudinal data from the National Register of Health Facilities (CNES) regarding the availability of resources necessary to care for patients with COVID-19 in inpatient facilities (public or private) from January to December 2020.

Background: Syphilis is a chronic infectious disease that has created challenging situations for humanity for centuries.
