In the last decade, substantial improvements in the understanding of the biology of multiple myeloma and the development of novel therapeutic options have led to increased response rates, progression free survival and overall survival. In underdeveloped countries, it is a huge challenge to adapt for this evolution, both in diagnostic and therapeutic aspects.
