Objectives: Chorea-acanthocytosis is an autosomal recessively inherited condition caused by loss-of-function pathogenic variants in . We identified a novel synonymous exonic variant leading to abnormal mRNA splicing in a patient with chorea-acanthocytosis.
Methods: A patient with focal epilepsy developed generalized chorea with orolingual dystonia, cognitive decline, and peripheral neuropathy, consistent with chorea-acanthocytosis.

Methods: The mean choroidal thickness (ChT) and choroidal vascularity index (CVI) of each VV quadrant (24 × 20 mm2 scan mode; superotemporal [ST], superonasal [SN], inferonasal [IN], and inferotemporal [IT] quadrants) were calculated. Furthermore, intervortex venous anastomosis (IVA) was classified into temporal, superior, inferior, and nasal types.

Recent studies provide evidence that NCoR/HDAC3 complexes can also exert coactivator functions in brown adipocytes by deacetylating and activating PPARγ coactivator 1α (PGC1α) and that signaling via receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B (RANK) promotes the formation of a stable NCoR/HDAC3/PGC1β complex that coactivates nuclear factor kappa-B (NFκB)- and activator protein 1 (AP-1)-dependent genes required for osteoclast differentiation. Evidence suggests that the addition of chemotherapy may extend the benefits of EGFR-TKI therapy.
Methods: In this phase 3, international, open-label trial, we randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio patients with -mutated (exon 19 deletion or L858R mutation) advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who had not previously received treatment for advanced disease to receive osimertinib (80 mg once daily) with chemotherapy (pemetrexed [500 mg per square meter of body-surface area] plus either cisplatin [75 mg per square meter] or carboplatin [pharmacologically guided dose]) or to receive osimertinib monotherapy (80 mg once daily).
Two new excited states, Ω_{c}(3185)^{0} and Ω_{c}(3327)^{0}, are observed in the Ξ_{c}^{+}K^{-} invariant-mass spectrum using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1}. Five previously observed excited Ω_{c}^{0} states are confirmed, namely Ω_{c}(3000)^{0}, Ω_{c}(3050)^{0}, Ω_{c}(3065)^{0}, Ω_{c}(3090)^{0}, and Ω_{c}(3119)^{0}. The masses and widths of these seven states are measured with the highest precision to date.

Unexpectedly, we found that signaling by the receptor activator of nuclear factor κB (RANK) converts the NCoR/HDAC3 co-repressor complex to a co-activator of AP-1 and NF-κB target genes that are required for mouse osteoclast differentiation. Accordingly, the dominant function of NCoR/HDAC3 complexes in response to RANK signaling is to activate, rather than repress, gene expression.

Methods: In this cross-sectional observational study, 40 eyes of patients with CSC and 28 eyes of healthy volunteers were included. The analysis involved the use of UWF-OCTA to analyze the proportion of the choroidal vortex vein drainage system (VV%), choroidal thickness, choroidal vascular volume (CVV), and choroidal vascularity index (CVI) of the VV in each drainage quadrant.
