The United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) is a critical step in assessing the competence of future physicians, yet the process of creating exam questions and study materials is both time-consuming and costly. While Large Language Models (LLMs), such as OpenAI's GPT-4, have demonstrated proficiency in answering medical exam questions, their potential in generating such questions remains underexplored. This study presents QUEST-AI, a novel system that utilizes LLMs to (1) generate USMLE-style questions, (2) identify and flag incorrect questions, and (3) correct errors in the flagged questions.

Background: Anxiety is common in pediatric patients, especially during vascular access procedures. Most well-studied affect and anxiety scales, including the Observation Scale of Behavioral Distress-Revised (OSBD-r), the modified Yale Preoperative Anxiety Scale (mYPAS), and the modified Induction Compliance Checklist (mICC), are too cumbersome for clinical use outside of research settings. HRAD± (Happy, Relaxed, Anxious, Distressed with yes/no to cooperation) is a clinically-efficient observational scale that evaluates pediatric procedural affect and cooperation.

Engine fault diagnosis is a critical task in automotive aftermarket management. Developing appropriate fault-labeled datasets can be challenging due to nonlinearity variations and divergence in feature distribution among different engine kinds or operating scenarios. To solve this task, this study experimentally measures audio emission signals from compression ignition engines in different vehicles, simulating injector failures, intake hose failures, and absence of failures.

Purpose: To compare blood flow (BF) impairment patterns in different optic neuropathies using laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG).

Methods: This retrospective study enrolled 24 eyes of 24 patients with non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAAION), 59 eyes of 59 patients with optic neuritis (ON), 677 eyes of 677 patients with open-angle glaucoma (OAG), and 110 eyes of 110 controls. The patient backgrounds of all groups were compared.
