Objectives: Most studies on long-term sequelae of SARS-CoV-2-infection in children were conducted pre-Omicron and pre-dated vaccination rollout. We examined long-term risk of new-incident multi-systemic sequelae after SARS-CoV-2 Delta/Omicron infection in a multi-ethnic Asian pediatric population.
Methods: Retrospective cohort study of Singaporean children aged 1- 17 years infected during Delta/Omicron BA.
Marine plastic pollution is a pervasive environmental issue, with microplastics serving as novel substrates for microbial colonization in aquatic ecosystems. This study investigates the succession of plastisphere communities on four common plastic types (polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate, and polystyrene) in subtropical coastal waters of Hong Kong SAR. Over a 42-day period, we analysed the temporal development of microbial communities using a three-domain universal metabarcoding method.

Methods: An 81-question mixed methods survey was distributed to SLFVSP leaders nationwide and Medical Student Educators within the American University Ophthalmology Professors (AUPO) Association. Survey responses were analyzed using Mann Whitney U and Fisher's Exact tests.
Rumination is a key feature of depression and contributes to its onset, maintenance, and recurrence. Researchers have proposed that biases in the attentional processing of emotional information may underlie rumination, and particularly, the brooding component. This investigation evaluated associations between attentional biases for emotional images and rumination, including both brooding and reflection, in currently and never depressed participants.
