Background: Despite its known superior diagnostic yield for chromosomal anomalies compared to karyotype and FISH studies, Chromosome Genomic Array Testing (CGAT) is not used as a routine clinical test for myelofibrosis. Meanwhile, although many prognostic systems exist that risk stratify patients at diagnosis, limited tools are available to prognosticate transplant outcome.

Objective: The current study aimed at testing if CGAT results obtained before transplantation improves prognosis of post-transplant outcome in myelofibrosis patients compared with current risk categorization systems namely DIPSS plus.

The myotendinous junction (MTJ) is a weak link in the musculoskeletal system. Here, we isolated the tips of single myofibres from healthy human hamstring muscles for confocal microscopy (n=6) and RNAscope in situ hybridisation (n=6) to gain insight into the profiles of cells and myonuclei in this region, in a fibre type manner. A marked presence of mononuclear cells was observed coating the myofibre tips (confirmed by serial block face scanning electron microscopy and cryosection immunofluorescence), with higher numbers for type I (median 29; range 16-63) than type II (16; 9-23) myofibres (p<0.

Herein, we introduce a new platform for alkene carboxy-alkylation. This reaction is designed around CO addition to alkenes followed by radical polar crossover, which enables alkylation through carbanion attack on carbonyl electrophiles. We discovered that CO adds to alkenes faster than it reduces carbonyl electrophiles and that this reactivity can be exploited by accessing CO via hydrogen atom transfer from formate.

Background: The optimal timing of initiating adjuvant temozolomide (TMZ) chemoradiotherapy after surgery in patients with glioblastoma is contentious. This study aimed to determine whether the timing of adjuvant treatment affects their overall survival (OS).

Methods: Consecutive adult patients with histologically-confirmed newly diagnosed glioblastoma treated with adjuvant TMZ chemoradiotherapy across all neurosurgical centers in Hong Kong between 2006 and 2020 were analyzed.
