Myocardial infarction is one of the leading cause of cardiovascular death worldwide. Invasive interventional procedures and medications are applied to attenuate the attacks associated with ischemic heart disease by reestablishing blood flow and restoring oxygen supply. However, the overactivation of inflammatory responses and unsatisfactory drug delivery efficiency in the infarcted regions prohibit functional improvement.

Gut metabolites are the key mediators through which gut microbes play anti-influenza effect. Transferring fecal metabolites from mice with high influenza resistance into antibiotic-treated recipient mice conferred resistance to influenza infections.

Both moyamoya arteriopathy and intracranial aneurysms have been reported in children with this syndrome. Herein, we report the successful treatment of a growing left posterior-communicating artery aneurysm arising from an aberrant left internal carotid artery (LICA) with balloon assisted coiling (BAC) in a child with PHACE syndrome.
