Background: Parasitic nematodes significantly undermine global human and animal health and productivity. Parasite control is reliant on anthelmintic administration however over-use of a limited number of drugs has resulted in escalating parasitic nematode resistance, threatening the sustainability of parasite control and underscoring an urgent need for the development of novel therapeutics. FMRFamide-like peptides (FLPs), the largest family of nematode neuropeptides, modulate nematode behaviours including those important for parasite survival, highlighting FLP receptors (FLP-GPCRs) as appealing putative novel anthelmintic targets.

Pancreatic cancer serves as the third leading cause of cancer-associated morbidity and mortality in the United States, with a 5-year survival rate of only 12% with an expected increase in incidence and mortality in the coming years. Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas constitute most pancreatic malignancies. Certain genetic syndromes, including Lynch syndrome, hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome, hereditary pancreatitis, familial adenomatous polyposis, Peutz-Jeghers syndrome, familial pancreatic cancer mutation, and ataxia telangiectasia, confer a significantly higher risk.

Objectives: Among Veterans Health Administration (VHA) patients receiving internet-connected tablets, we examined (1) app usage, (2) clusters of commonly used apps and patient characteristics across clusters, and (3) the relationship between app clusters and mental health services.

Materials And Methods: A survey was distributed to a national sample of VHA patients ( = 5449) within 6 months of tablet receipt. Self-reported app use was clustered with agglomerative hierarchical clustering.

Background: Telehealth (care delivered by phone or video) comprises a substantial proportion of cardiology care delivered in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Little is known about how factors specific to patients, clinicians, and facilities contribute to variation in cardiology telehealth use.

Objective: The aim of this study is to estimate the relative extent to which patient-, clinician-, and facility-level factors affect cardiology telehealth use in VHA.
