Our study sought to review and summarize the reported health disparities and inequities in the utilization of proton beam therapy (PBT) for prostate cancer. We queried the PubMed search engine through 12/2023 for original publications examining disparate utilization of PBT for prostate cancer. The query terms included the following: prostate cancer AND proton AND (disparities OR IMRT OR race OR insurance OR socioeconomic OR inequities)".

Introduction Vasospasm and delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) are complications of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) and contribute up to 23% of the disability and deaths from aSAH. The use of intrathecal nicardipine (ITN) as a possible treatment for DCI has been explored with mixed results. We present a retrospective series comparing standard post-aSAH care to standard care plus ITN therapy.

Intracortical brain-computer interfaces (iBCIs) can restore movement and communication abilities to individuals with paralysis by decoding their intended behavior from neural activity recorded with an implanted device. While this activity yields high-performance decoding over short timescales, neural data are often nonstationary, which can lead to decoder failure if not accounted for. To maintain performance, users must frequently recalibrate decoders, which requires the arduous collection of new neural and behavioral data.

Molecular changes in lymphocytes following SARS-CoV-2 vaccination are incompletely understood. We hypothesized that studying the molecular (transcriptomic, epigenetic, and T cell receptor (TCR) repertoire) changes in CD4 T cells following SARS-CoV-2 vaccination could inform protective mechanisms and refinement of future vaccines. We tested this hypothesis by reporting alterations in CD4 T cell subsets and molecular features of CD4 naïve and CD4 central memory (CM) subsets between the unvaccinated and vaccinated groups.
