Malaria remains one of the highest causes of morbidity and mortality, with 249 million cases and over 608,000 deaths in 2022. Insecticides, which target the Anopheles mosquito vector, are the primary method to control malaria. A prospective study of 100 cases of sterile T-RING™ digital tourniquet application.

The ideal finger tourniquet must be easy to use and provide a completely bloodless field with control of the pressure exerted at the compression site. The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the T-RING™ digital tourniquet in emergency hand surgery; the secondary objective was to define the optimal indications and possible contraindications. This prospective study, undertaken between May 4 and July 30, 2015, comprised the application of 100 finger tourniquets in the following indications: all single or multiple digital wounds, distal from the base of the proximal phalanx, irrespective of their nature and the suspected structural damage.

Medial collateral ligament healing after posttraumatic radial head arthroplasty: A retrospective study of 33 cases with a mean follow-up of 73 months.

Comminuted radial head fractures are usually associated with destabilizing lesions of the elbow. The radial head prosthesis (RHP) is a therapeutic alternative when fracture fixation is impossible, as it restores one of the elbow's secondary stabilizers. The aim of this study was to assess healing of the medial collateral ligament (MCL) after implantation of a RHP.

Objectives: Analyze factors leading to isolated clubfoot's occurrence, identify clubfeet associated pathologies, and discuss the opportunity of performing an amniocentesis in cases of isolated clubfoot.

Patients And Methods: Between January 2007 and December 2011, all patients diagnosed with clubfoot in our prenatal diagnostic center were retrospectively included. We then defined and analyzed idiopathic or isolated talipses equinovarus (ITEV) and clubfeet associated with others morphologic abnormalities or syndromic talipses equinovarus (STEV).
