Background/objectives: The primary aim of this study was to characterize athletes approaching an outpatient interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary consultation structure for athletes with a suspected relative energy deficiency in sport (REDs) cross-sectionally and longitudinally to prove treatment efficacy.

Methods: Data of 58 athletes suspected of REDs were collected at the onset (t) and completion (t) of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary REDs treatment (clinical practice) between January 2019 and December 2022. The data included extracted information from medical records, anthropometric characteristics, physical performance diagnostics, laboratory values, dietary records, and partially gynecological and psychosomatic diagnostics.

Return to work (RTW) after burn injury is dependent on many variables, including type and location of burn injury, access to care, and pre-injury mental and physical health. Noting that prior studies were limited by small sample sizes, we aimed to use a large database to explore the associations between hand burn severity, functional hand outcomes, and RTW post-injury. Data from a multicenter longitudinal study were analyzed.

Purpose: The necessity of providing endovascular recanalization of acutely thrombosed arteriovenous access (AV access) during weekend is questionable, since hemodialysis can alternatively be achieved by temporarily placed non-tunneled central venous catheters (CVC). Interventional therapy of acutely thrombosed AV access is provided only on weekdays in the study center. This study aimed to compare outcomes in patients admitted on weekdays and on the weekend.

Objective: To assess chemokine receptor CXCR4 expression in lung parenchyma and on peripheral immune cells in systemic sclerosis-related interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD) patients.

Methods: SSc-ILD patients underwent 68Ga- CPCR4 Trifluoroacetate positron emission tomography (PET) scan, SUVmean in different lung regions and architecturally abnormal areas, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were analyzed. CXCR4 expression on peripheral immune cells using flow cytometer was studied and correlated with the different lung regions.

Article Synopsis
  • TLD-1 is a new formulation of pegylated liposomal doxorubicin designed to improve the balance between its effectiveness and side effects in treating cancer.
  • The study analyzed how TLD-1 behaves in the body (pharmacokinetics) using data from a clinical trial with 30 patients, looking specifically at drug concentrations and how they change over time.
  • Results showed TLD-1 has a longer half-life than existing treatments, suggesting it could be a strong candidate for future studies to better understand its effects on efficacy and toxicity in patients.
