Huntington's Disease (HD), a progressive neurodegenerative disorder with no disease-modifying therapies, is caused by a CAG repeat expansion in the HD gene encoding polyglutamine-expanded huntingtin (HTT) protein. Mechanisms of HD cellular pathogenesis and cellular functions of the normal and mutant HTT proteins are still not completely understood. HTT protein has numerous interaction partners, and it likely provides a scaffold for assembly of multiprotein complexes many of which may be altered in HD.

Fluorine 19 (F) MRI of inhaled perfluoropropane permits quantitative and spatially localized assessment of pulmonary ventilation properties without tracer gas hyperpolarization. Purpose To assess regional lung ventilation properties using F MRI of inhaled perfluoropropane in participants with asthma, participants with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and healthy participants, including quantitative evaluation of bronchodilator response in participants with respiratory disease.

Calibrating Trust, Reliance and Dependence in Variable-Reliability Automation.

Trust and system reliability can influence a user's dependence on automated systems. This study aimed to investigate how increases and decreases in automation reliability affect users' trust in these systems and how these changes in trust are associated with users' dependence on the system. Participants completed a color identification task with the help of an automated aid, where the reliability of this aid either increased from 50% to 100% or decreased from 100% to 50% as the task progressed, depending on which group the participants were assigned to.

Association between COVID-19 infection and new-onset dementia in older adults: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: The relationship between COVID-19 infection and a possible increased likelihood of older adults developing new-onset dementia (NOD) remains elusive.

Methods: A thorough search was performed across several databases including MEDLINE/PubMed, PsycINFO, Scopus, medRxiv, and PQDT Global for studies published in English from January 2020 to December 2023. Only original investigations exploring the link between COVID-19 infection and NOD were selected for inclusion.
