Context: The growth hormone (GH) secretagogue receptor, encoded by GHSR, is expressed on somatotrophs of the pituitary gland. Stimulation with its ligand ghrelin, as well as its constitutive activity, enhances GH secretion. Studies in knock-out mice suggest that heterozygous loss-of-function of GHSR is associated with decreased GH response to fasting, but patient observations in small case reports have been equivocal.

However, traditional MBIs require substantial time and effort due to the high dose of mindfulness practice, which makes them inaccessible to many individuals. This study aimed to (1) test the effectiveness of a novel low-dose MBI-Mindfulness-Based Integrative Programme (MBIP)-delivered synchronously online, on mental health symptom severity, emotion regulation, and trait mindfulness in the general population; (2) test the acceptability of this intervention; and (3) identify baseline characteristics that may predict changes in emotion regulation.

Study Design: This analysis is part of the LEMON study, a cohort study including all monochorionic twins with selective FGR aged 3 through 17 years. Growth measurements as documented by our primary care system were collected retrospectively.
