The ketone body beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) is an acidic energy metabolite that is synthesized during periods of fasting or exercise. Our previous study demonstrated that an every other week cyclic ketogenic diet (Cyclic KD), which induces blood BHB levels similar to those observed during fasting, reduces midlife mortality and improves memory in aging mice. In addition to its canonical role as an energy metabolite, BHB regulates gene expression and inflammatory activation through non-energetic signaling pathways.

Methods: We observed a sample of 16 clinicians as they navigated My-HF. We then administered a structured questionnaire and conducted semi-structured interviews to explore participants' opinions about the app's content and the feasibility of incorporating the app into clinical workflows.
Parkinson's disease (PD) is characterized by the formation of α-synuclein (α-syn) aggregates, which lead to dopaminergic neuronal degeneration. The incidence of PD increases with age, and senescence is considered to be a major risk factor for PD. In this study, we evaluated the effect of senescence on PD pathology using α-synuclein preformed fibrils (PFF) injection model in senescence-accelerated mice.

Introduction: Environmental factors appear to play an important role in the development and course of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Seasonal variability in disease activity has been described and it is postulated that it may vary according to geographical area. The aim of this study is to analyse the monthly distribution of activity observed on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and to look for a possible relationship with climate in patients with relapsing remitting MS.
