Neutropenia and agranulocytosis are risks known to occur with phenothiazines and clozapine. The mechanisms responsible for these conditions currently remain unclear. To our knowledge, no case of fatal agranulocytosis as a result of olanzapine treatment was reported in the literature.

These observations led to our trial of zidovudine with two dose levels of interferon alfa.
Methods: HIV-positive patients with KS were eligible if they were older than 18 years of age, had a performance status of 0 to 2, and were free of active infection.
Unlabelled: The impact of aprotinin on blood losses during orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) has been studied retrospectively.
Patients And Methods: From September 1984 to July 1995, 152 patients underwent 168 OLT in our center. Seventy three patients (group I) received epsilon-aminocaproic acid as an antifibrinolytic agent and 95 patients (group II) received aprotinin.
Skin necrosis is a well-recognized although rare complication of continuous heparin therapy. We report the case of a 66-year-old diabetic woman with end-stage renal failure who received intermittent intravenous heparin during hemodialysis. She developed severe necrotic cutaneous ulcers over both legs, with typical histological findings.
