Objective: Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is a common complication in patients with diabetes. With current treatment, only two-thirds of patients heal, with a median duration of 3-6 months. Hard-to-heal DFUs are a major source of morbidity and mortality.

Natural history of low-risk branch-duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms and indeterminate pancreatic cysts: Implications on surveillance intervals by cyst size.

Background: The optimal surveillance strategy for low-risk branch-duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (BD-IPMN) remains unclear. We aim to evaluate the natural history of low-risk BD-IPMN/indeterminate pancreatic cysts to determine optimal surveillance intervals.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study of patients with radiologically-diagnosed low-risk BD-IPMN/indeterminate pancreatic cysts from 1998 to 2021 at a tertiary referral center.

Telehealth for HIV care and management among people living with HIV in Australia: results from an online survey.

Background The aims of this study were to evaluate the experiences of telehealth for routine HIV care and identify preferred models of HIV routine care for the future. Methods Anonymous, online questionnaire among people living with HIV aged 18years or older. This survey was advertised via posters with a QR code in six sexual health clinics and one community organisation as well as on social media from November 2021 to December 2022.

A systematic review and meta-analysis evaluating the effectiveness of minimally supervised home and community exercise interventions in improving physical activity, body adiposity and quality of life in adults living with HIV.

Unlabelled: People living with HIV (PLWH) are physically inactive and risk cardiometabolic dysfunction. Home and community exercise (HCE) is pragmatic, cost-effective and improves health in varied chronic conditions. This review aimed to synthesize evidence on the effectiveness of minimally supervised HCE for physical activity (PA), adiposity, quality of life (QoL), and other physical and psychological health indices for PLWH.

Use of Natural Language Processing to Infer Sites of Metastatic Disease From Radiology Reports at Scale.

Purpose: To evaluate natural language processing (NLP) methods to infer metastatic sites from radiology reports.

Methods: A set of 4,522 computed tomography (CT) reports of 550 patients with 14 types of cancer was used to fine-tune four clinical large language models (LLMs) for multilabel classification of metastatic sites. We also developed an NLP information extraction (IE) system (on the basis of named entity recognition, assertion status detection, and relation extraction) for comparison.
