Background: Children undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures often require sedation to achieve immobility and analgesia if the procedure is painful. In the past decades, leading scientific organizations have developed evidence-based guidelines for procedural sedation and analgesia in children outside of the operating room. Their recommendations are being applied to procedural sedation in radiology.

Case Description: Herein, we report a case of a 5-year-old boy whose refractory intracranial hypertension and severe, progressive visual loss (secondary to a chronic, otogenic, right sigmoid sinus thrombosis, and a contralateral sinus tight stenosis) were resolved by a combination of continuous (6 h), locoregional, infusion of recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA), and mechanical thrombectomy.
Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a chronic and irreversible interstitial lung disease whose diagnosis often requires surgical lung biopsies (SLB) in cases without consistent radiological findings. We previously published that the expression of the chemokine receptors CXCR3 and CCR4 on T cells is significantly different in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) of IPF patients from other interstitial lung diseases. The aim of the study was to evaluate cut-off values of CXCR3 and CCR4 receptors expressed on bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) and peripheral blood (PB) T cells useful for a differential diagnosis.

The inventory uses the top-down approach that combines the annual Ambrosia pollen index from a number of monitoring stations in the source region as well as Ambrosia ecology, local knowledge of Ambrosia infestation and detailed land cover information. The final inventory is gridded to a 5 × 5-km resolution using a stereographic projection.
