Hypothyroidism is known to affect memory consolidation, and our prior research highlighted the potential of chrysin as a therapeutic agent to restore cognitive function. The present study aimed to investigate the action mechanism of chrysin on memory deficits in hypothyroid in C57BL/6 female mice. We assessed cognitive flexibility, declarative, working, and aversive memories while analyzing the BDNF/TrkB/AKT/Creb neuroplasticity signaling pathway and synaptic function in the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex.

It ranks second in total volume of milk production, with cow milk in first place, but a lack of minimum legal parameters for buffalo milk is another problem faced by some countries, as it happens in Brazil where buffalo population represents less than one percent of dairy cows, even though Brazilian buffalo herd is one of the largest in Latin America, with a successful dairy processing chain. This study investigated the composition and somatic cell counts (SCC) of buffalo milk produced in a high-altitude tropical region in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil, where buffalo calving naturally happens from February to May.

Investigating these species is essential for understanding the unrealized ecological potential in different habitats, identifying gaps in local and regional communities, and gaining a better understanding of the impacts of environmental changes. Therefore, to expand knowledge about the diversity of Odonata in Eastern Amazonia considering the absent species, we tested the hypotheses that: 1) Environmental variables will influence dark diversity, with greater explanation by canopy cover where sites with lower canopy cover will have higher dark diversity values, and; 2) Functional traits associated with better species dispersal will be correlated with low dark diversity of Odonata, such as larger and wider wings for example.
