Introduction: Cannabis use and misuse are surging among the Chinese community in East and Southeast Asia. A quick screening instrument that can effectively identify users with dependence for early intervention is in utmost need. This study examined the psychometric properties of the Chinese version of the Severity of Dependence Scale for cannabis (C-SDS-C) in screening for the DSM-5 defined Cannabis Use Disorder (CUD).

Dispersive gains enhance wireless power transfer with asymmetric resonance.

Parity-time (PT) symmetry is a fundamental concept in non-Hermitian physics that has recently gained attention for its potential in engineering advanced electronic systems and achieving robust wireless power transfer (WPT) even in the presence of disturbances, through the incorporation of nonlinearity. However, the current PT-symmetric scheme falls short of achieving the theoretical maximum efficiency of WPT and faces challenges when applied to non-resistive loads. In this study, we propose a theoretical framework and provide experimental evidence demonstrating that asymmetric resonance, based on dispersive gain, can greatly enhance the efficiency of WPT beyond the limits of symmetric approaches.

Clinical Course of Isolated Recurrent, Persistent Complex Perianal Fistulas Without Luminal Crohn's Disease: A Multicenter Case Series of 24 Patients.

Background: Isolated complex perianal fistulas, without luminal evidence of inflammatory bowel disease in the gastrointestinal tract, pose diagnostic and treatment dilemmas for gastroenterologists and colorectal surgeons. For patients who develop recurrent complex fistulas, a presumptive diagnosis of Crohn's disease may be made. It is unclear whether these cases of isolated perianal disease in the absence of luminal inflammation truly represent isolated severe cryptoglandular fistulas or rather an early presentation of Crohn's disease.

Vortioxetine improves illness severity for cannabis users with anxiety and depressive symptoms in a 6-month randomized controlled study.

Introduction: Cannabis use and misuse have mental health implications, particularly affecting mood and anxiety symptoms. Vortioxetine, a potent serotonin partial agonist/antagonist reuptake inhibitor antidepressant, has well-established effects in treating depressive and anxiety disorders and may serve as a potential treatment for individuals with cannabis use disorder and comorbid mood symptoms. In the current study, we aimed to investigate the efficacy of vortioxetine for cannabis users with anxiety and depressive symptoms alongside their cannabis dependence.
