Aims: Current evidence of the impact of acute exercise on insulin levels in individuals with type 1 diabetes remains controversial. Therefore, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to explore exercise-induced changes in insulin levels.

Materials And Methods: We conducted a systematic review (until 05 November 2023) and meta-analysis exploring the effect of exercise on insulin concentration in individuals with type 1 diabetes.

Clinical evidence for high-risk CE-marked medical devices for glucose management: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Aims: To conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis, within the Coordinating Research and Evidence for Medical Devices (CORE-MD) project, evaluating CE-marked high-risk devices for glucose management.

Materials And Methods: We identified interventional and observational studies evaluating the efficacy and safety of eight automated insulin delivery (AID) systems, two implantable insulin pumps, and three implantable continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices. We meta-analysed randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing AID systems with other treatments.

Background: Hypoglycemia threatens cognitive function and driving safety. Previous research investigated in-vehicle voice assistants as hypoglycemia warnings. However, they could startle drivers.

Glycaemic outcomes in adults with type 1 diabetes transitioning towards advanced automated insulin delivery systems - a real-world analysis at a Swiss tertiary centre.

Aims Of The Study: To assess glucose levels in adults with diabetes at a Swiss tertiary hospital when transitioning from insulin delivery with a sensor-augmented pump with (predictive) low-glucose suspend ([P]LGS) to a hybrid-closed loop (HCL) and from a HCL to an advanced hybrid-closed loop (AHCL).

Methods: Continuous glucose monitoring data for 44 adults with type 1 diabetes transitioning from (P)LGS to hybrid-closed loop and from hybrid-closed loop to advanced hybrid-closed loop were analysed, including the percentage of time spent within, below, and above glucose ranges. In addition, a subgroup analysis (n = 14) of individuals undergoing both transitions was performed.
