Complete genome sequences of two actinomycetes containing abyssomicin-like gene clusters: DSM 45791 and sp. NL15-2K.

Here, we report the resequencing, assembly, and annotation of two actinomycete genomes containing abyssomicin gene clusters. DSM 45791 with a circular chromosome of 11,681,598 bp and 4 circular plasmids (14,175-207,548 bp) and sp. NL15-2K with a 12,368,159 bp linear genome and circular plasmid (11,584 bp).

"That's not fair on my kid": Carers' perspectives on sport participation and experiences for children in out-of-home care.

Children in out-of-home care participate in less organised sport than children from other household structures, potentially reducing opportunities for improvements in social, developmental, and health outcomes. Despite this, little is known about barriers and facilitators of sport participation for children in care. We aimed to explore carers' perspectives on the influences on children in care's participation and experiences in organised sport.

Outbreak of perichondritis associated with ear piercings and a contaminated water system.

In September 2023, the UK Health Security Agency's (UKHSA) South West Health Protection Team received notification of patients with perichondritis. All five cases had attended the same cosmetic piercing studio and a multi-disciplinary outbreak control investigation was subsequently initiated. An additional five cases attending the same studio were found.

Industry perspectives on the implementation of social support for young adults with disability in community gyms: a qualitative study.

Purpose: Social support is a known facilitator of exercise for people with disability. A qualitative approach was used to understand current social support practices in community gyms for young adults with disability.

Methods: Embedded within a larger project "Getting Young adult Moving - Supporting Participation and Access to Recreation Centres" (GYM-SPARC), semi-structured interviews were completed with 25 gym staff, representing 29 community gym facilities across Victoria, Australia.

Pediatric orthopedic all-terrain vehicle injury patterns, surgeries, and complications: appreciating the true morbidity and impact.

All-terrain vehicle (ATV) accidents frequently cause orthopedic injuries. Previous studies have reported the frequency of fractures in ATV injuries. No studies have provided detailed assessments of fracture patterns, types of operative intervention, or risks for multiple surgeries.
