We report on the nonlinear temporal post-compression of 7 mJ sub-40 fs pulses from a commercial kHz Ti:sapphire laser down to a record 3.8 fs duration (sub-1.5 optical cycle) in a compact single-stage gas-filled multi-pass cell (MPC), with 60% overall compression efficiency.

Macrocyclic chelators play a central role in medical imaging and nuclear medicine owing to their unparalleled metal cation coordination abilities. Their functionalization by fluorinated groups is an attractive design, to combine their properties with those of F for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) or natural F for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and access potential theranostic or smart medical imaging probes. For the first time, a compact fluorinated macrocyclic architecture has been synthesized, based on a cyclen chelator bearing additional pyridine coordinating units and simple methyltrifluoroborate prosthetic groups.

Obtaining consent to care requires the radiation oncologist to provide loyal information and to ensure that the patient understands it. Proof of such an approach rests with the practitioner. The French Society for Radiation Oncology (SFRO) does not recommend the signature of a consent form by the patient but recommends that the radiation oncologist be able to provide all the elements demonstrating the reality of a complete information circuit.

Biohybrid systems in which robotic lures interact with animals have become compelling tools for probing and identifying the mechanisms underlying collective animal behavior. One key challenge lies in the transfer of social interaction models from simulations to reality, using robotics to validate the modeling hypotheses. This challenge arises in bridging what we term the 'biomimicry gap', which is caused by imperfect robotic replicas, communication cues and physics constraints not incorporated in the simulations, that may elicit unrealistic behavioral responses in animals.

Background: Chemoradiotherapy with high-dose cisplatin (HD-Cis: 100 mg/m q3w for three cycles) is the standard of care (SOC) in locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (LA-HNSCC). Cumulative delivered dose of cisplatin is prognostic of survival, even beyond 200 mg/m but high toxicity compromises its delivery.

Aim: Cisplatin fractionation may allow, by decreasing the peak serum concentration, to decrease toxicity.
