Sphenoid wing meningiomas (SWM) frequently compress structures of the optic pathway, resulting in significant visual dysfunction characterized by vision loss and visual field deficits, which profoundly impact patients' quality of life (QoL), daily activities, and independence. The objective of this study was to assess the impact of SWM surgery on patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) regarding postoperative visual function. The Visual Function Score Questionnaire (VFQ-25) is a validated tool designed to assess the impact of visual impairment on quality of life.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFOxidative stress (OS) is a common feature of many inflammatory diseases, oral pathologies, and aging processes. The impact of OS on periodontal ligament cells (PDLCs) in relation to oral pathologies, including periodontal diseases, has been investigated in different studies. However, its impact on orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) remains poorly understood.

This study aims to develop predictive models to assess the likelihood of older adults with HNSCC receiving ≥ 200 mg/m cisplatin during chemoradiation.
Methods: 366 patients from the SENIOR database, an international cohort of adults ≥ 65 years with HNSCC, received definitive chemoradiation with single-agent cisplatin and were analyzed.
Objective: Maximum extent of resection in glioma yields enhanced survival outcomes. The contemporary literature presents contradictory results regarding the benefit of intraoperative MRI (iMRI). This meta-analysis aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of iMRI-guided surgery.
