Objective: In Morocco, as in many countries, a large number of patients use medicinal plants to treat their disease including urinary lithiasis. The aim of the present work is to study the antilithiasic effect of Erica multiflora aqueous extract, purported for its antilithiasic effect in the oriental region of Morocco.

Aim Of The Study: The aim of the present study is to evaluate the diuretic potential and effect on urinary electrolytes of aqueous Erica multiflora L. (Ericaceae) flowers and Cynodon dactylon L. (Poaceae) rhizomes extracts in rats.

Cynodon dactylon extract as a preventive and curative agent in experimentally induced nephrolithiasis.

Cynodon dactylon (Poaceae family) decoction was used in the treatment of kidney stones. However, no scientific study was undertaken so far to demonstrate the beneficial effect of the plant. Thus, the aim of the current study is to evaluate the effect of Cynodon aqueous extract as a preventive and curative agent in experimentally induced nephrolithiasis in a rat model.
