Introduction: Population risk for neural tube defects (NTDs) can be determined using red blood cell (RBC) folate. However, a paucity of biomarker and surveillance data among non-lactating, non-pregnant women of reproductive age (NPWRA) from Africa limits accurate assessment. Introduction: Subsea applications recently received increasing attention due to the global expansion of offshore energy, seabed infrastructure, and maritime activities; complex inspection, maintenance, and repair tasks in this domain are regularly solved with pilot-controlled, tethered remote-operated vehicles to reduce the use of human divers. However, collecting and precisely labeling submerged data is challenging due to uncontrollable and harsh environmental factors. As an alternative, synthetic environments offer cost-effective, controlled alternatives to real-world operations, with access to detailed ground-truth data.

Additives play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of perovskite solar cells (PSCs), and carefully designed additives contribute to major breakthroughs in device performance. In this study, a series of novel A-π-A-type porphyrin derivatives-PPH-1, PPH-2, and PPF-1-are synthesized, each incorporating pyridyl groups, specifically engineered to function as passivation agents for PSCs. The electron-withdrawing properties of fluorine in PPF-1 increase the molecular polarity, thereby strengthening its interaction with the perovskite and enhancing the passivation efficacy.

Background: Uterine endometrial natural killer (uNK) cells represent major leukocytes in the mid-secretory phase of the cell cycle, and their number is further increased during early pregnancy. The activating and inhibitory receptors expressed on their surface mediate various functions of uNK cells, such as cytotoxicity, cytokine production, spiral artery remodeling, and self-recognition.

Methods: This study reviewed the most recent information (PubMed database, 175 articles included) regarding the activating and inhibitory receptors on uNK cells in human females with healthy pregnancies and the evidence indicating their significance in various reproductive failures.

Despite its importance, the determination of the degree of cure of melamine-based laminates often relies on tests with limited accuracy and validity.
