Particularly, adding <5 mass % MOFs in polymers dramatically increased gas permeability, far surpassing the Maxwell model's prediction. Long-range magnetic ordering of two-dimensional crystals can be sensitive to interlayer coupling, enabling the effective control of interlayer magnetism towards voltage switching, spin filtering and transistor applications. With the discovery of two-dimensional atomically thin magnets, a good platform provides us to manipulate interlayer magnetism for the control of magnetic orders. However, a less-known family of two-dimensional magnets possesses a bottom-up assembled molecular lattice and metal-to-ligand intermolecular contacts, which lead to a combination of large magnetic anisotropy and spin-delocalization.

Nanoparticles (NPs) at high loadings are often used in mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) to improve gas separation properties, but they can lead to defects and poor processability that impede membrane fabrication. Herein, it is demonstrated that branched nanorods (NRs) with controlled aspect ratios can significantly reduce the required loading to achieve superior gas separation properties while maintaining excellent processability, as demonstrated by the dispersion of palladium (Pd) NRs in polybenzimidazole for H /CO separation. Increasing salinization of freshwater threatens water supplies that support a range of human and ecological uses. The latest assessments of Delaware River Basin (DRB) surface-water-quality changes indicate widespread salinization has occurred in recent decades, which may lead to meaningful degradation in water quality. To better understand how and when salinity transport occurs and implications for DRB streams, this study: 1) explores the variability of specific conductance (SC) trends spatially and seasonally from 1998 to 2018, and 2) investigates how trends relate to streamflow, land disturbance, and impervious surface area to better understand regional salinization drivers.

Studies have shown that registered nurses are inadequately prepared to care for patients requiring hospice and palliative care. Reasons include inadequate curriculum, along with a lack of structured education related to hospice/palliative care and symptom management, which includes inadequate education on delivering home-based hospice/palliative case management. Challenges at the Southwestern Hospice Organization are consistent with industry standards, evidenced by a high level of afterhours triage phone calls related to ineffective case management setup and delivery upon patient admission to hospice service.
