A total of 164 viruses have been identified in peppers worldwide. To combat viruses, pathogen-derived resistance (PDR) has been employed by expressing a viral genomic segment or a viral protein in host plants. Unfortunately, peppers are recalcitrant to genetic transformation and regeneration.

In this work, a series of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) engineering is designed and implemented. Through comprehensive characterization and performance evaluations, such as stability, thermal-driven desorption efficiency, as well as energy- and charge-transfer capacity, the engineering of group IV bimetallic MOFs emerges as particularly noteworthy.

Exosomes, a subclass of Extracellular Vesicles (EVs), are pivotal mediators of intercellular communication. Exosomes derived from Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) exhibit anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory activities similar to that of their parental cells, which makes them a cell-free treatment strategy against Ulcerative Colitis (UC). Engineered MSC Exosomes (MSC-Exos) hold the potential to impart multifunctionality to MSCs and optimize their therapeutic effectiveness.

However, the presence of trace impurities like carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) in hydrogen fuel can significantly deactivate the anode by blocking its active sites, leading to reduced performance. Developing electrocatalysts that are resistant to CO and H₂S poisoning has therefore become a critical priority.

Analysis of virtual water risk transmission characteristics and driving factors from the perspective of WEF trade is highly important for alleviating the risk of water shortages and promoting the efficient use of resources. In this paper, a set of methods for quantifying risk transmission values is constructed on the basis of China's interregional input-output model, and the key paths of interregional virtual water risk transmission caused by WEF trade are identified using innovative methods.
