Purpose Of Review: Constrictive pericarditis (CP) is a potentially curable condition characterized by the thickening, scarring, and calcification of the pericardium. A comprehensive approach, including clinical evaluations and imaging techniques such as echocardiography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging, is essential for timely diagnosis and intervention to prevent chronic complications and enhance patient outcomes. However, the rarity of CP and the specialized expertise required present challenges in diagnosis.

Background: EGFR alterations have significant therapeutic implications in lung cancer (LCa), yet their prevalence and co-mutational patterns in African American populations remain understudied. This study analyzes EGFR-mutant LCa across races using the Tempus database.

Methods: De-identified records sequenced via Tempus xT assay, (595 to 648 gene DNA panel) were included if they had ≥ 1 pathogenic EGFR mutation (short variants (SVs), copy number amplifications (CNAs), or fusions).

Mice Models for Peripheral Denervation to Enhance Vascular Regeneration.

Sympathetic innervation plays a critical role in regulating vascular function, yet its influence on vascular regeneration and reinnervation following ischemic injury remains poorly understood. This study develops and validates murine models of localized sympathetic denervation using 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) to enable study of the sympathetic nervous system's impact on vascular systems during tissue repair. Two methods of 6-OHDA administration were employed: a single topical application during open surgery and minimally invasive weekly subcutaneous injections.
