Background: Despite bilateral mastectomy (BLM) for early-stage breast cancer (BC) showing no survival benefit and increased risk compared to breast conserving surgery, some patients still choose this treatment. This study examined whether emotion reactivity and regulation influence treatment decision making among newly diagnosed women with breast cancer.
Methods: Cross-sectional survey data were analyzed as part of a larger study.
Background And Objective: Mothers are the primary caregivers throughout early childhood, playing a vital role in developing their child's oral health behavior, as oral conditions in primary teeth can have a considerable negative impact on the child's growth. This study aims to assess the association between maternal oral hygiene status, caries experience, and oral health behavior (OHB) toward their children.
Methodology: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 226 mothers of children aged nine months to three years visiting the primary health centers (PHCs) in urban (n = 113) and rural (n = 113) areas of Chengalpattu district, India.
Vaccination with self- and foreign peptides induces weak and strong expansion of antigen-specific CD4 T cells, respectively, but the mechanism is not known. In the present study, we used computational analysis of the entire mouse major histocompatibility complex class II peptidome to test how much of the naive CD4 T cell repertoire specific for self-antigens was shaped by negative selection in the thymus and found that negative selection only partially explained the difference between responses to self and foreign. In naive uninfected and unimmunized mice, we identified higher expression of programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and CD73 mRNA and protein on self-specific CD4 T cells compared with foreign-specific CD4 T cells.

Methods: This gene-environment study tested the interaction between GLP1R-rs10305492 variant, consistent with the effect of GLP1R agonist therapies, and four lifestyle factors (diet, physical activity, sleep duration, and chronotype) for glucose and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels among 263,846 UK Biobank participants.
Purpose: To investigate the age-related prevalence of comorbid insomnia and sleep apnea (COMISA).
Methods: A single-night polysomnography with video monitoring was conducted on 2176 Chinese adults (ages 18-102) to screen for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Insomnia was defined as difficulty initiating or maintaining sleep, or early morning awakening at least three times per week for more than three months, accompanied by daytime symptoms such as irritability, fatigue, or anxiety.
