Tribological Behavior and Mechanism of Silane-Bridged h-BN/MoS2 Hybrid Filling Epoxy Solid Lubricant Coatings.

To significantly improve the tribological performance of epoxy resin (EP), a novel h-BN/MoS composite was successfully synthesized using spherical MoS particles with lamellar self-assembly generated through the calcination method, followed by utilizing the "bridging effect" of a silane coupling agent to achieve a uniform and vertically oriented decoration of hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) nanosheets on the MoS surface. The chemical composition and microstructure of the h-BN/MoS composite were systematically investigated. Furthermore, the enhancement effect of composites with various contents on the frictional properties of epoxy coatings was studied, and the mechanism was elucidated.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recently declared another global health emergency due to the rapidly spreading monkeypox (Mpox) outbreak in numerous African countries. To address the unmet need to contain the outbreak using the existing vaccines, this study developed a lyophilization process for an effective, scalable and affordable Mpox mRNA-LNP vaccine candidate to address the global health crisis. A comprehensive evaluation and optimization of the vaccine formulation (the type/concentration of cryoprotectants, the type/concentration of buffer system, as well as the mRNA concentration and reconstitution solvent) and the freeze-drying process parameters (freezing method, temperature, cooling rate and primary/secondary drying conditions) were conducted.

Gafchromic EBT3 film is widely used to assure the quality of two-dimensional dosimetry but requires frequent recalibrations due to changes in sensitivity over time. This study presents a new calibration method using a Keras-based generalized additive neural network (GANN) to address film aging.

Impact of Receiving Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Vaccination on Work Stress of Healthcare Workers: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Background: Healthcare workers are at the frontline of the fight against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The World Health Organization prioritized healthcare workers to receive COVID-19 vaccination immediately upon availability. This study aims to not only investigate the opinions and willingness of healthcare workers at a tertiary hospital to receive the COVID-19 vaccine but also assess the impact of vaccination on their work-related stress levels, before and after COVID-19 vaccination.
