A positron emission tomography scan with fluorodeoxyglucose can be affected by several factors. Skeletal muscle activation and physiological presence of radioactivity in urine frequently cause difficulties in images interpretation. We report a case of a patient with a non-operable left lung cancer, who was scheduled for FDG PET examination for radiotherapy planning purposes.

Background: More than 10% of healthy population has one or more accessory spleens. The most common location is the hilum of the spleen or area near the tail of the pancreas. The radiological appearance of accessory spleens in oncologic patients who underwent splenectomy can be misinterpreted as a recurrence, especially in the case of compensatory growth of an accessory spleen in successive radiological examinations.

Based on spiral computer tomography data three dimensional reconstruction of temporal bone have been made. Anatomical details of the middle ear on obtained images as above have been shown. Reviewed own material and literature the technical assumption and potential possibilities of the three dimensional middle ear reconstruction were presented.
