Objective: To assess the diagnostic accuracy of existing clinical criteria and to develop prediction tools for iron deficiency in 2-year-old children.
Study Design: In a national cross-sectional study conducted in primary care pediatricians' practices throughout France, 2-year-old children were consecutively included (2016-2017). Multivariable logistic regression modeling and bootstrapping were used to develop several clinical models to predict iron deficiency (serum ferritin <12 μg/L).
This work reports the design of [1,3,4]thiadiazolo[3',2':1,2]imidazo[4,5-c]quinolines using a Pictet-Spengler reaction. The scope of the reaction was achieved from 6-(2-aminophenyl)imidazo[2,1-b][1,3,4]thiadiazole derivatives and available aldehydes. A wide range of aldehydes were employed to examine the scope of the cyclization.

Monocyte-derived macrophages, located in atherosclerotic lesions and presenting heterogeneous phenotypes, from classical proinflammatory M1 to alternative anti-inflammatory M2 macrophages, could potentially display osteoclast-like functions.
