Objective: To determine the concordance and statistical precision in gait velocity in people with multiple sclerosis (pwMS), measured with FeetMe® (insoles with pressure and motion sensors) compared with GAITRite® (classic reference system of gait analysis) in the timed 25-Feet Walk test (T25WT).
Methods: This observational, cross-sectional, prospective, single center study was conducted between September-2018 and April-2019 in pwMS aged 18-55 years, with Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) 0-6.5 and relapse free ≥30 days at baseline.
Unlabelled: The global lockdown measures implemented due to the COVID-19 pandemic have nearly always had negative consequences for patients with multiple sclerosis (MS).
Objective: We compared the social and professional effects of confinement on patients with MS in 2 very different populations, from Spain and China.
Methods: Questionnaires were administered to a group of patients with MS who consulted at the MS unit of Vithas hospital (DINAC Foundation) in Seville, and patients with MS attended in several provinces of China in April 2020, with the aim of analysing the differences and similarities between populations in the social and professional effects of confinement.
Acromegaly is a rare disease with nonspecific symptoms with acral enlargement being almost universally present at diagnosis. The estimated prevalence is 40-125 cases/million but targeted universal screening studies have found a higher prevalence (about 10 fold). The aim of the ACROSAHS study was to investigate the prevalence of acromegaly and acromegaly comorbidities in patients with sleep apnea symptoms and acral enlargement.

It has been shown that high doses or prolonged treatment with this drug may cause Cushing's syndrome, new-onset diabetes and suppression of plasma ACTH and cortisol levels. Megestrol acetate may cause suppression of the pituitary-adrenal axis due to the affinity of this compound for the glucocorticoid receptor.
