Crying in infancy is an important emotional signal that elicits care from adults, and women are often assumed to be more sensitive and reactive to infant crying than men. In a series of studies, we tested whether preparenthood gender differences in sensitivity to infant cries are a potential driver of the unequal share of early parenting. In Study 1, we tested for differences in men and women's awakening to infant crying and alarms among nonparents in an overnight experiment ( = 142).

There exist many studies that describe the negative effects of clinical placement restrictions and access to universities on the well-being of all health professional students during the pandemic. There also exists evidence of changes to MRS student teaching and impacts to students and academic clinical educators; however, there exists a paucity of research that investigates how changes have affected the performance of students within the clinical environment and entering the workforce.

In experiment (EXP) 1, 64 pens (8 broilers/pen) were fed diets containing 8 levels of peroxidized soybean oil (SO). Broilers were fed diets from 7 to 35 d of age with 8 replications per dietary treatment.

The two soybean expellers contained approximately 46.3 % crude protein (DM basis).

Two precision-fed rooster trials were conducted to evaluate the nitrogen-corrected true metabolizable energy (TME) and standardized amino acid (AA) digestibility of 10 PKM samples (PKM 1 to 10). The TME was determined using conventional Single Comb White Leghorn roosters, and standardized AA digestibility was determined using cecectomized roosters.
