Objective: This study aimed to systematically review the effect of laser treatment on the bond strength of epoxy resin-based and calcium silicate-based endodontic sealers to root dentine.

Methods: The search encompassed four databases: PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, Scopus, and ISI Web of Science. Inclusion criteria were limited to in vitro studies conducted on extracted human teeth evaluating bond strength in megapascals (MPa) of either epoxy resin-based or calcium silicate-based sealers, using the push-out test.

Materials And Methods: Searches of studies published up to January 2023 were performed in the PubMed/MEDLINE and EMBASE and via other methods (databases of the International Endodontic Journal, Journal of Endodontics, and gray literature). The inclusion criteria were animal and studies that analyzed the response in the dorsal subcutaneous tissue of rats, cell viability, and genotoxicity.

Background: To evaluate the influence of chemotherapy on the prevalence of trismus in irradiated head and neck cancer patients.

Material And Methods: This systematic review guided by PRISMA-2020 and registered in PROSPERO (CRD42021255377) screened 963 articles in 7 scientific-databases (PubMed, Lilacs, Livivo, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, EBSCO) and 3 grey-literature databases (Open Grey, Google Scholar, ProQuest) and eight articles were included for qualitative synthesis, meta-analysis (combined odds ratio, inverse variance method plus random effects), heterogeneity analysis (I² and Tau²), one-of-out evaluation and publication bias analysis (Eggs' and Begg's tests) (RevMan®, <0.05).

Background: Preventive Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT) significantly reduces oral mucositis (OM) severity in patients undergoing Radiochemotherapy (RCT) for the treatment of oral cancer, but daily applications generate cost, overload the dental team, and reduce the number of patients assisted.To evaluate the effectiveness of two PBMT protocols in preventing OM in patients undergoing RCT for oral cancer.

Material And Methods: 16 patients diagnosed with oral cancer undergoing RCT were included, equally divided into two groups: a group treated daily with PBMT, and another group also submitted to daily treatment, however, performing the application of PBMT every three days, interspersed with a simulation of PBMT (placebo).

Background: Chemotherapy (CT) is a systemic treatment using a combination of antineoplastic drugs, orally or intravenously, that inhibit tumor growth and fast-growing normal cells. Due to its nonspecificity, chemotherapy can cause a series of adverse effects, such as altered taste (dysgeusia), associated with malnutrition and, consequently, other adverse effects in the gastrointestinal tract and increased mortality risk. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of dysgeusia on the incidence of other adverse effects and overall survival during antineoplastic chemotherapy.
