Background: Babesiosis poses significant risks of adverse outcomes in individuals with immunocompromising conditions (IC) and asplenia/hyposplenia (AH). This study compares clinical outcomes between these vulnerable groups and immunocompetent patients.

Methods: A multicenter retrospective cohort study included adult patients with laboratory-confirmed babesiosis from 2009 to 2023.

Introduction: Introduction The Hy antigen is one of ten red cell antigens belonging to the Dombrock blood group system, with an antigen frequency of almost 100% in the majority of populations. Alloantibodies to high prevalence antigens cause difficulties with antibody identification and exclusion in serological investigations.

Background: High-intensity endurance training induces specific cardiac adaptations, often observed through electrocardiographic (ECG) changes. This study investigated the prevalence of ECG abnormalities in national-level Australian triathletes compared to sedentary controls.

Methods: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted involving 22 triathletes and 7 sedentary controls.

To understand how fish gut microbial communities are shaped by diet, three tropical fish species (hawkfish, ; yellow tang, ; and triggerfish, ) were fed piscivorous (fish meal pellets), herbivorous (seaweed), and invertivorous (shrimp) diets, respectively.
