Objectives: To examine the predictors of parent-child bonding and parenting satisfaction using structural equation models at three time points across the perinatal period: (1) during pregnancy at >24 gestational weeks, (2) one month postpartum, and (3) three months postpartum.

Methods: This longitudinal exploratory quantitative study recruited a convenient sample of 118 heterosexual couples (236 participants; 118 mothers and 118 fathers) from maternity clinics of a public tertiary hospital in Singapore. Descriptive statistics were used to summarize the parents' characteristics and study variables.

Regions of interest in opportunistic computed tomography-based screening for osteoporosis: impact on short-term in vivo precision.

Objective: To determine an optimal region of interest (ROI) for opportunistic screening of osteoporosis in terms of short-term in vivo diagnostic precision.

Materials And Methods: We included patients who underwent two CT scans and one dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry scan within a month in 2022. Deep-learning software automatically measured the attenuation in L1 using 54 ROIs (three slice thicknesses × six shapes × three intravertebral levels).

The phase behavior of polyelectrolyte complexes and coacervates (PECs) at low salt concentrations has been well characterized, but their behavior at concentrations well above the binodal is not well understood. Here, we investigate the phase behavior of stoichiometric poly(styrene sulfonate)/poly(diallyldimethylammonium) mixtures at high salt and high polymer concentrations. Samples were prepared by direct mixing of PSS/PDADMA PECs, water, and salt (KBr).
