Tooth extraction is a common procedure that is performed routinely and is associated with very few risks. The formation of a pseudoaneurysm as a direct result of tooth extraction has not been widely reported in published studies; it is more frequent as a complication of orthognathic surgery (1). The purpose of this paper is to describe the literature of maxillary artery pseudoaneurysm and its diagnosis and treatment in the Emer-gency Department.
