Objective: Common examinations for diagnosing obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) are polysomnography (PSG) and home sleep apnea testing (HSAT). However, both PSG and HSAT require that sensors be attached to a subject, which may disturb their sleep and affect the results. Hence, in this study, we aimed to verify a wireless radar framework combined with deep learning techniques to screen for the risk of OSA in home-based environments.

Navigating unfamiliar environments can be challenging for visually impaired individuals due to difficulties in recognizing distant landmarks or visual cues. This work focuses on a particular form of wayfinding, specifically backtracking a previously taken path, which can be useful for blind pedestrians. We propose a hands-free indoor navigation solution using a smartphone without relying on pre-existing maps or external infrastructure.

The Wayfinding app provides guidance to a blind user while following a certain route. The Backtracking app records the route taken by the walker towards a certain destination, then provides guidance while re-tracing the same trajectory in the opposite direction.

Unlike previous studies, this study focuses on the scientific process parameter setup of experiments and simulations, as well as on the implementation of calibration. Experiments and simulations had the same trend of results in the scientific process parameter setup.

Methods: A total of 135 RCC patients and 590 controls were recruited for genotyping using the polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) method. Quantitative PCR was performed to assess MDM2 mRNA levels among 30 healthy individuals and 22 RCC patients.
