This systematic review aims to provide preclinical evidence of the antimicrobial efficacy of natural endodontic solutions (NES) compared to sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and chlorhexidine (CHX) against Enterococcus faecalis. The study followed the PRISMA guidelines and had a registered protocol (PROSPERO - CRD42021224022). The inclusion criteria comprised ex vivo studies simulating root canal irrigation to assess the standardized mean difference of colony-forming units (CFUs).

Background/objectives: Recent studies have investigated the effects of ketamine on fear memory in animals. However, it is unclear if ketamine might affect avoidance memory and emotional behaviors concomitantly. In this study, we compared the effects of (,)- and ()-ketamine in modulating avoidance responses, depression- and anxiety-related behaviors in stressed mice.

Background: Bibliometric analysis quantitatively measures the impact of scientific articles within their respective fields, with citation counts being a key indicator of influence. This study aimed to identify the top 100 most-cited articles related to apical periodontitis (AP) and systemic health, analyzing their main characteristics.

Methods: The top 100 most-cited articles were identified using Web of Science (WoS).

Background:  It is believed that genetic factors play a role in the development and severity of neural injury among people with distal symmetrical polyneuropathy (DSP), because some genes are involved in specific biological pathways, acting in different ways in the pathogenic process.

Objective:  To identify potential associations involving the ( C677T) and ( intron 3 variable number of tandem repeats [I3VNTR]) gene polymorphisms and DSP in the studied sample.

Methods:  In total, 70 children and adolescents with type-1 diabetes underwent a nerve conduction studie (NCS) of the sural nerve.

This study aimed to assess the impact of nutritional conditions and irradiation parameters on the viability and proliferation of murine preosteoblasts. MC3T3-E1 cells were maintained under standard culture conditions (αMEM supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum) or nutritional deficit conditions (αMEM without serum) and irradiated or not (control) with an InGaAlP diode laser at wavelengths of 660 nm (red) or 790 nm (infrared), with doses of 1, 4, or 6 J/cm², in a single dose in continuous mode. Cell viability and proliferation were assessed 24, 48, and 72 h after irradiation using the Alamar blue reduction assay.
