This study evaluated the association between dental infection and maxillary sinus pathology, and the influence of age, sex, type of tooth, root proximity to the sinus floor, the condition of the primary maxillary ostium, and the presence of an accessory maxillary ostium in this process. Computed Tomography scans were selected, and upper posterior teeth were evaluated for the presence of apical periodontitis (AP), bone loss with furcation involvement, and endoperiodontal lesion (EPL), subsequently, sinuses were evaluated for mucosal thickening (MT) and opacification of the maxillary sinus (OMS). Logistic regression models were constructed, and Chi-squared and Fisher's tests were applied.

Designing microcapsules with precise mechanical characteristics is crucial to ensure their contents' timely release and minimize residual shell fragments, thereby avoiding adverse impacts on the coating quality. With these constraints in mind, we explored the use of 1 cSt PDMS oil as a diluent (porogen) in trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate (TMPTMA)-based to fabricate microcapsules with customized mechanical properties and submicrometer debris size after shell breakup that can encapsulate a wide range of compounds.

Increasing call volumes and economic constraints are challenging many countries, necessitating organizational changes in EMCCs. This study uses a simulation-based digital twin approach, creating a virtual model of EMCC operations to assess the impact of different organizational scenarios on accessibility.

This single-center study investigates the outcomes of 94 adults with hematological malignancies undergoing MMUD allo-HCT with PTCY and tacrolimus (Tac) (PTCY-Tac) between 2014 and 2023. The median age was 53 years, and 60.

Our study aimed to demonstrate the need for further evidence-based investigations into the association between chest binder type and health outcomes.
Methods: For this cross-sectional observational study, a community-engaged online survey evaluating individuals' experiences with their current or most recent chest binder was distributed to LGBTQ+ community centers, online forums, and clinics from July to November 2021.
