Introduction: In 2021, among French women who smoked when they knew they were pregnant, 59% still smoked at the end of pregnancy. Support for pregnant women to stop smoking must include a structured organisational perspective. The main objective of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the 5A-QUIT-N organisational intervention on smoking cessation at delivery among pregnant women who smoke during pregnancy.

Here, by combining entire summer season current and temperature observations and 3D numerical modeling, we demonstrate that previously undetected vertical mode-two and mode-three Poincaré waves in 309-meter deep Lake Geneva (Switzerland/France) generate bottom-boundary layer currents up to 4 cm s. Poincaré wave amphidromic patterns revealed three strong cells excited simultaneously.

Excess fat mass during obesity is known to be a risk factor for chronic diseases but also for severe infections and infectious complications. We have focused here on the elements responsible for this particular susceptibility to infections and more specifically to COVID-19.

Methods: Patients with genetically confirmed STL with axial length ≥ 26 mm and controls matched for axial length were included. The following data were obtained from SD-OCT scans and fundus photography: choroidal and retinal thickness (respectively, CT and RT), peripapillary atrophy area (PAA), presence of posterior staphyloma (PS).
Purpose: To compare the long-term outcomes of vitreomacular surgery in eyes with nontractional diabetic macular edema (DME) with those from eyes with tractional DME.
Methods: Retrospective comparative study from 55 consecutive patients (73 eyes). Twenty eyes were operated on for tractional DME and 53 eyes for nontractional DME unresponsive to laser photocoagulation or triamcinolone intravitreal injections.
