Article Synopsis
  • The study focuses on improving residents' training in managing breech deliveries, a critical skill in obstetrics, especially as vaginal deliveries of breech cases decline in favor of cesarean sections.
  • A randomized controlled trial was conducted where obstetrics residents were divided into two groups: one received a formal lecture while the other used digital materials for home learning, with both groups evaluated through a simulation test.
  • Results showed no significant differences in performance based on the type of learning, although the digital group scored slightly higher in some questionnaire aspects, indicating that both learning methods are effective in training for vaginal breech deliveries.

G-quadruplexes (G4 s), as non-canonical DNA structures, attract a great deal of research interest in the molecular biology as well as in the material science fields. The use of small molecules as ligands for G-quadruplexes has emerged as a tool to regulate gene expression and telomeres maintenance. Meso-tetrakis-(N-methyl-4-pyridyl) porphyrin (TMPyP4) was shown as one of the first ligands for G-quadruplexes and it is still widely used.

The number line estimation task (NLE) is often used as a predictor for broader measures of mathematical achievement. In spite of its popularity, it is still not clear whether the task is based on symbolic or non-symbolic numerical competence. In particular, there is only a very limited amount of studies investigating the relationship between NLE performance and symbolic vs.

Incubation for 14 days is recommended for the culture of microorganisms from osteoarticular infections (OAI), but there are no recommendations for postoperative antibiotic stewardship concerning empirical antimicrobial therapy (EAT), while prolonging broad-spectrum EAT results in adverse effects. The aim of this study was to describe the local OAI epidemiology with consideration of bacterial growth times to determine which antibiotic stewardship intervention should be implemented in cases of negative culture after 2 days of incubation. We performed a 1-year, single-center, noninterventional cohort study at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital OAI reference center.
