Objectives: Preeclampsia and depression in pregnancy are among the most prevalent obstetric disorders with no known cures. While depression and preeclampsia each increase risk for the other, shared mechansisms are unclear. One possibility is low levels of Indoleamine 2,3 dioxygenase (IDO), which links immune dysregulation and oxidative arterial damage resulting in poor vascular function in both preeclampsia and depression.

After culprit drug withdrawal, systemic corticosteroids (CS) are the most widely used treatment, often requiring high doses for months. Blocking the IL-5/IL‑5 receptor axis with mepolizumab, reslizumab, and benralizumab is a promising targeted treatment with a good safety profile and no immunosuppressive effect.

This study analyses the information flow and workflow details from the IN-TIME study and discusses whether differences of message content, information speed and completeness, and workflow may contribute to the heterogeneous results.

The intracellular bactericidal activity of fosfomycin was compared to that of other anti-staphylococcal agents. Two staphylococcal strains (one isolate of Staphylococcus aureus and one isolate of Staphylococcus epidermidis) were incubated in vitro with human granulocytes isolated from volunteers. After phagocytosis and removal of residual extracellular bacteria, the cells were resuspended in the presence of clinically relevant concentrations of fosfomycin, teicoplanin, vancomycin and rifampin.
