Background: Hyperkalemia, generally defined as serum potassium levels greater than 5.0 mEq/L, poses significant clinical risks, including cardiac toxicity and muscle weakness. Its prevalence and severity increase in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), diabetes mellitus, and heart failure (HF), particularly when compounded by medications like Angiotensin converting inhibitors, Angiotensin receptor blockers, and potassium sparing diuretics.

Clinician awareness of drug interaction management among cancer treatments, cardiovascular medications, and supportive care agents is important for optimizing efficacy and safety. Historically, chemotherapies have been associated with pharmacodynamic interactions with few, but important, pharmacokinetic interactions.

Magnetic susceptibility measurements revealed the presence of both ferro- and antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between the metal centres in 1, and the stabilization of spin states with appreciable S values at two different temperature regimes. The end-on bridging azido and alkoxido groups are in all likelihood the ferromagnetic mediators, while the η:η:μ-bridging peroxides most likely promote the antiparallel alignment of the metals' spin vectors, yielding an overall non-zero spin ground state for the centrosymmetric compound 1.

However, evidence for benefit and guidance on implementation are limited. Informed consent, the use of patient decision aids, or the documentation of these elements for governmental or societal agencies may be conflated as SDM.
