Multi-omics studies have enabled us to understand the mechanistic drivers behind complex disease states and progressions, thereby providing novel and actionable biological insights into health status. However, integrating data from multiple modalities is challenging due to high dimensionality and diverse nature of data, and noise associated with each platform. Type Ia supernovae are cosmic distance indicators, and the main source of iron in the Universe, but their formation paths are still debated. Several dozen supersoft X-ray sources, in which a white dwarf accretes hydrogen-rich matter from a non-degenerate donor star, have been observed and suggested as Type Ia supernovae progenitors. However, observational evidence for hydrogen, which is expected to be stripped off the donor star during the supernova explosion, is lacking.

This work reports cascade cyclization between 1-allenyl-2-alkynylbenzenes and nitrosoarenes. When these two components reacted alone under N, N,O-functionalized indane-fused isoxazolidines were obtained selectively. DFT calculations verify that this reaction sequence involves unprecedented nitrone/alkyne cycloadditions, followed by diradical rearrangement.
