Objective: Test the feasibility and effectiveness of a text message reminder intervention for the self-management of oral anticancer medication in patients with metastatic breast cancer.
Methods: Forty-three females initiating treatment with palbociclib participated in a two-armed prospective randomized clinical trial. Participants were randomized into the control ( = 21) and intervention groups ( = 22) from January 2020 to January 2023.
Introduction: This systematic review aims to collate evidence of the causes of genital bleeding, other than child sexual abuse and accidental injuries, presenting in prepubertal girls. It provides an update to the 2015 Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health publication 'The Physical Signs of Child Sexual Abuse', an evidence-based review also known as the Purple Book.
Methods: MEDLINE, EMBASE and Scopus databases were searched for studies published between March 2014 and June 2023.
Aims/objective: Assess the demographic/education backgrounds of team physicians (TPs) in the National Hockey League (NHL) and American Hockey League (AHL).
Materials/methods: Orthopedic Surgeon (O) and Primary Care (PC) TPs for each NHL and AHL team were recorded based on an internet search. Age, sex, and race were collected.
Issue Addressed: The growing prevalence of osteoporosis requires preventative management starting from an early age as peak bone mass is typically reached by age 30. However, current Australian adolescents are not adequately addressing key osteoprotective factors. Alarmingly, around 17% have insufficient vitamin D levels, 55% consume insufficient dietary calcium, and 79% are insufficiently active.
