Background: Among patients with structural heart disease with ventricular tachycardia (VT) refractory to medical therapy and catheter ablation, cardiac stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) is a paradigm-changing treatment option.
Aims: To assess the efficacy of cardiac SBRT in refractory VT by comparing the rates of VT episodes, anti-tachycardia pacing (ATP) therapies, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) shocks post-SBRT with pre-SBRT.
Methods: We performed a comprehensive literature search and included all clinical studies reporting outcomes on cardiac SBRT for VT.
Objective: To determine if anaemia and blood transfusions in the perioperative, chemotherapy and radiation treatment periods are associated with overall survival (OS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS) in high-grade endometrial cancer.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study examined patients at a single centre treated for high-grade endometrial cancer (2010-2023). This included International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) grade 3 endometrioid, serous, carcinosarcoma, mixed, clear cell, mucinous, dedifferentiated and undifferentiated histology.
Psychedelics, substances with a long history of cultural and medicinal use, are experiencing a resurgence in clinical research, particularly in psychiatry. Despite their classification as Schedule I drugs, recent studies suggest therapeutic potential, particularly in treating refractory depression. With chronic pain representing a major health concern and with few non-opioid treatment options available, psychedelics are being explored as alternative treatment modalities.

Study Design: Using data from the Insight into Nephrotic Syndrome (INSIGHT) study, a prospective observational childhood nephrotic syndrome cohort from Toronto, Canada, we evaluated hypertension incidence and time-to-hypertension overall and stratified by 1) steroid-resistance or steroid-sensitivity, and 2) frequently-relapsing, steroid dependent, or infrequently-relapsing. Hypertension was defined as stage 1-2 hypertensive blood pressure on two consecutive visits or anti-hypertensive medication initiation.
