Effects of exposure to stressful stimuli on conversion of glucose to CO2 in mice.

Mice were subjected to acute stressful stimuli exposure and conversion of 14C-glucose labeled in various positions to 14CO2 was measured. The results show differential effects based on the stressor applied; the C-2 position may be considered as a stress-specific response.
