Prior studies using several in vivo AML models showed that depletion of plasma glutamine induced by the long-acting crisantaspase (pegcrisantaspase or PegC) was synergistic with the BCL-2 inhibitor venetoclax (Ven), resulting in significantly reduced leukemia burden and enhanced survival. Here, we report a phase 1 study (NCT04666649) of Ven and PegC combination (VenPegC) for treating adult patients with relapsed or refractory AML, including patients who had previously received Ven.

Methods: A secondary analysis was conducted with data from an RCT of an exercise intervention in patients with ICDs (implantable cardioverter defibrillator) and a HF diagnosis ( = 96). Data were collected at baseline and 2 months of PA intervention.
Introduction: The management of many patients with early-stage melanoma includes sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy for prognostic and treatment planning purposes. While the minimum necessary number of SLNs to examine has been determined for patients with other malignancies, it has not been delineated in melanoma. The current study evaluates risk factors for SLN positivity and the associated number of SLNs that are necessary to examine for appropriate staging.
